The Republic of Buryatia traditionally participates in the exhibition “Street of the Far East,” which will take place from September 1–4, 2026, as part of the XI Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. This year, the region’s exposition is called “Baikal. Buryatia. Center of Attraction.”

“The Pavilion of Buryatia for several years in a row has become the best among other expositions of the exhibition ‘Street of the Far East.’ Buryatia is not only the ‘Sacred Sea’ Baikal, but also the unique culture and traditions of the region.I’m sure that this year Buryatia will once again surprise the participants and guests of the Eastern Economic Forum, will tell about what the region is proud of, how people’s lives are improving, what opportunities businesses have, and thanks to this attract new investors and tourists,
“Our pavilion became the first among all regions of the Far East three times: in 2022 and 2023, and again last year, 2025, at the anniversary, the tenth VEF exposition, Buryatia’s exhibition was again recognized as the best. Now we are also preparing, not relaxing, to enter the leaders and take prize-winning places. We will proudly represent our republic,” noted the head of the Republic of Buryatia, Alexey Tsydenov.
The basis of this year’s pavilion concept is the image of a Buddhist mandala, a sacred map of the universe. The exhibition is divided according to the theme of the mandala into four directions of light, four meaningful sectors: North — tourism, East — extraction and resources, South — culture and traditions, West — economy and investments. Each sector reveals its own direction and offers unique proposals for investors, speaks about economic potential, and as a whole creates a holistic picture of the entire republic, uniting nature, culture, economy, and above all, the people living here.Traditionally, attention will be paid to the exterior of the pavilion, which will be decorated with original lighting solutions.
The media content of the entire pavilion is connected by a motif of impermanence and transformation (like in sand mandalas, which are destroyed after completion). This motif will be used in the media installation, where the mandala is constantly redrawn, reflecting the dynamics of projects and investments. Simultaneously, a looping video with destruction and rebirth is played on all media in the pavilion. On the facade there are two screens – a large volumetric mandala-universe as the background, while inside visitors are immersed in an immersive show.
In the republic’s exhibition, there will be a gallery of Buryatia craftsmen. A wide variety of folk art products will be presented, demonstrating traditional skills and their application in the modern economy. In the tasting area, it will be possible to try locally produced food and drinks. The “Made in Buryatia” exhibition area will tell the story of enterprises of the Republic of Buryatia and showcase their achievements.
Within the framework of the street exhibition, the art objects “Destruction of the Mandala” and “Zone of Spiritual Cleansing” will be presented. A Center for Eastern Medicine will be located in the yurt. Those wishing will be able to make an appointment with a diagnostic doctor and check their health. An exhibition of the Ulan-Ude aviation plant’s holding “Russian Helicopters” of the state corporation “Rostec” will be set up on the street. A model of the Mi-171A3 helicopter will be presented. The machine is a deep modification of the most mass-produced twin-engine helicopter in the history of aviation, the Mi-8, and is designed for the transportation of cargo, passengers, offshore operations, and search and rescue work.
The 11th Eastern Economic Forum will be held from September 1 to 4 at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. During these days, the exhibition will be accessible to forum participants, and on September 5, 6, and 7 it will be open to everyone. The organizer of the EEF is the Roscongress Foundation.
