On June 20, Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University of Peter the Great officially opens its doors to prospective students. The admission of documents begins for programs of secondary vocational education (SVE), bachelor’s, specialist, and master’s degrees.
The 2026 admission season is proceeding under the inspiring slogan “You are the main hero!”, because at Politechnic University everyone gets a chance to build a successful career and find their path in the world of great opportunities.
Admission to the Institute of Secondary Professional Education is possible based on grades 9 or 11. This year, 555 budget places and 505 paid places have been prepared for nine full-time programs, as well as 150 paid places for two part-time programs. The competition is conducted on the basis of the average certificate score. When submitting documents, it is possible to choose up to three specialties for the budget form and only one for the paid form. It is important to indicate the priority correctly in the application.
For applicants to full-time bachelor’s and specialist degree programs in 2026, the following number of places is allocated: 3400 budget places, 1825 paid places; within the quota: 400 for targeted admissions, 360 for special admissions, and 360 for separate admissions. An applicant can submit an application for up to five training directions, indicating the priority order for enrollment.
Features of the SPbPU Admission Campaign

First-year students this year can apply for grants of two levels.
- 120,000 rubles — for the winners of the Olympiads and applicants with a Unified State Exam (USE) score of 290–300 points*.
- 50,000 rubles — for students of engineering, natural science, and scientific fields in the sphere of information technology with an USE result of 270–289 points*.
In addition, for excellent academic performance in the first semester, it is possible to receive an additional grant of 50,000 rubles.

“Petrovskaya Wave” — a real chance for guaranteed enrollment. If the applicant’s total score exceeds the university’s established threshold, they automatically receive a place. The score is published on the website and can only decrease during the admission campaign, making enrollment even more accessible. If there were not enough places for budget admission, but the applicant’s score is above the “wave” threshold, Polytechnic guarantees a place at their own expense.
To take advantage of this feature, you need to:
- Specify one or several in the statementdirections participating in the “Petrovskaya Wave”.
- Enter a total score above the announced threshold.
- To give consent for enrollment by August 5 (12:00 Moscow time) and not to withdraw it until the end of the admission campaign.
Important: submission of consent for enrollment (via Gosuslugi or in person) now replaces the provision of the original certificate. This is a more convenient format that also applies to applicants for master’s programs.
It is possible to continue postgraduate studies in more than 180 fields, for which 2338 budget-funded spots have been allocated this year.
Ways to enter graduate school:
- portfolio competition SPbPU;
- victory at the “I am a professional” Olympiad;
- victory in the All-Russian engineering competition;
- passing the interdisciplinary exam.

June 20 — the start of document submission for all forms of bachelor’s, specialist’s, and master’s degree programs.
10 July, 12:00 — completion of document submission with the passing of internal entrance examinations, as well as for the training programs “Design”, “Architectural Environment Design”.
July 25, 12:00 — deadline for submitting documents for applicants based on the USE results.
August 7, 12:00 — deadline for submitting documents along with taking internal entrance examinations for applicants to paid places.
August 14, 12:00 — deadline for submitting documents for places under paid educational service contracts.
