Kyiv, June 18 /Syn SU/ — Ukrainian and German defense companies Fire Point and Hensoldt have signed a memorandum of intent to jointly develop the Freyja /”Freyja”/ ground air defense system, capable of detecting and intercepting ballistic missiles. This was reported on Wednesday by the Ukrinform agency.
The memorandum was concluded at the specialized international exhibition Eurosatory in Paris.
According to the agreements reached, the company Fire Point will act as the main contractor of the project. It will manufacture, test, and supply FP-7 missiles, launchers, and control systems, as well as integrate the main components into a single system.
Hensoldt, in turn, will be responsible for the production, testing, and delivery of radar complexes for air defense systems. –0–
