Beijing, June 18 /Xinhua/ — The 32nd Beijing International Book Fair opened on Wednesday at the China National Convention Center, gathering over 1,700 exhibitors from 82 countries and regions. About 220,000 book titles are presented at the exhibition.
Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Li Shulei visited the fair on the opening day to familiarize himself with the event.
The five-day event occupies an exhibition space of 60 thousand square meters and includes sections dedicated to domestic publications, foreign publications, and online publications, as well as other zones. This year, the United Arab Emirates /UAE/ is the guest of honor country at the fair.
More than 20 countries, including Russia, France, Germany, and Italy, have established their national pavilions at the fair. Their editions are also presented by 30 major international publishers, including Springer Nature, Penguin Random House, and Cengage.
In the exhibition area of online publications, companies such as Tencent, Douyin, and NetEase presented online literature, online games, and animated works.
