Students of GUU from Vietnam demonstrated excellent knowledge of Russian culture and history at the city quiz of “Youth of Moscow” and became prize winners.
The team, which included first-year graduate student Nguyen Thi Hai Anh, took 3rd place as a result of a tough fight, losing by only one point to the silver medalists.
The quiz consisted of seven rounds that tested the participants’ erudition, knowledge of Russian state symbols, unique traditions, and the richness of the Russian language.
The preparatory faculty student Vu Hoang Bao S did not become a prize-winner, but actively participated and demonstrated deep knowledge.
Besides the well-deserved awards, each participant gained priceless experience in communication, the opportunity to find new friends, and to share the joy of joint discovery.
It should be recalled that Vu Hoang Bao previously performed at the Russian culture festival “My Soul – Russia” and won medals at the 2026 Vietnam Universiade in Russia.
Nguyen Thi Hai Anh has long been a true GUU star: in 2024, she became a participant in the meeting of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with foreign students within the framework of the World Youth Festival in Sochi, represented GUU at the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Vietnam, completed a scientific internship in China, and participated in the V Congress of Young Scientists at Sirius.In March 2026, a postgraduate student from GHU spoke before the Prime Minister of Vietnam, representing the Vietnamese student community in Russia, and in May became a finalist of the International competition-practicum of young humanitarians “Challenges of Multipolarity” and participated in the “Victory Letters” campaign.
