The “KAMAZ” has launched a new modification of the all-wheel-drive tractor KAMAZ-65954 with a crane-manipulator installation “Inman IM 240N” on the market.
The new product is a universal transport system that combines the capabilities of a tractor and a forklift. This model is designed for transporting heavy loads off-road and performing loading and unloading tasks without involving third-party personnel, allowing the carrier to reduce downtime and operational costs.
The vehicle is built on the basis of an all-wheel-drive heavy-duty KAMAZ-65954 (6×6) tractor of the latest K5 generation. It is equipped with an inline six-cylinder KAMAZ-R6 engine with a power output of 560 hp and a mechanical 16-speed gearbox. A modern spacious cabin with a sleeping berth provides an increased level of comfort for work and rest for the driver. It is equipped with a multimedia system with a 10.1″ diagonal touchscreen display, featuring navigation, radio, hands-free communication systems, music playback, and other useful options. Serial production of the basic chassis KAMAZ-65954 started in 2025.The tractor unit is designed for operation as part of a road train with a total mass of up to 100 tons and serves as a reliable base for the installation of complex specialized equipment.
As for the crane-manipulator installation “Inman IM 240N” (series A) of the articulated type, it is mounted on the rear overhang of the frame and provides high accuracy of cargo positioning, convenience of operation in confined spaces and compact folding into transport position. Control is carried out from the lower post. The maximum load moment of the crane-manipulator unit is 22.57 tm, the maximum lifting capacity at an additional suspension point (2.1 m) is 10,000 kg. At the maximum boom outreach of 8.1 meters, the installation is capable of lifting up to 2,730 kg.Thanks to this system, it is possible to move heavy loads close to the board and perform precise operations within an average radius, which is especially in demand during the transportation of special equipment, building structures, rolled metal, and machinery.
High passability and load capacity make this vehicle an indispensable assistant for enterprises in the construction, oil and gas, and mining industries. The KAMAZ-65954 with KMU is also effective for work at remote sites in regions with difficult road conditions where there is no hard surface.
