Beijing, June 17 /Xinhua/ — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Wang Yi on Wednesday called for the fulfillment of obligations stipulated by the UN Charter, upholding sovereign equality, observing international law, and opposing power politics and acts of bullying in the face of continuously emerging global challenges.
Van Yi, who is also a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, stated this at a press conference dedicated to the publication of the White Paper entitled ‘Forming a More Just and Reasonable System of Global Governance: China’s Concepts, Initiatives, and Actions.’
As the first country to sign the UN Charter, China is ready to defend the authority of the UN through the implementation of the Global Governance Initiative and to cooperate with various countries in the matter of revitalizing and strengthening the role of the UN, said Wan Yi.
