Beijing, June 17 /Xinhua/ — The Chinese side is seriously concerned about recurring malicious incidents threatening the security of the Chinese embassy and consulates in Japan, the official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lin Xian announced on Wednesday at another press briefing.
Almost three months have passed since Junior Lieutenant of the Japan Self-Defense Forces Kodai Murata, armed with a knife, climbed over the wall and entered the territory of the North Korean embassy in Tokyo. Nevertheless, the investigation and consideration of this case by Japan are still progressing slowly, added the Chinese diplomat.
“This incident once again exposes the deeply rooted problems in Japan,” commented Lin Ziyan, calling on the Japanese side to rethink and correct its policies and actions, take radical measures to rectify the situation, and provide a responsible explanation to the Chinese side. -0-
