Beijing, June 17 /Xin Hua/ — China’s concepts and actions are receiving increasing resonance and response from the international community; moreover, the initiative on global governance is supported by almost 160 countries and international organizations, according to the White Paper published Wednesday by the Press Office of the State Council of the PRC.
The reason for this lies in the fact that China possesses the ability to understand the characteristic features of this era and to navigate the trends of its development, as stated in the White Paper titled “Forming a More Just and Reasonable Global Governance System: Concepts, Initiatives, and Actions of China.”
An equal and orderly multipolar world and an open and inclusive economic globalization are trends of this era, and genuine multipolarity represents an inevitable path, as stated in the White Paper.
The initiative on global governance, rooted in Chinese soil, brings benefits to the whole world, as emphasized in the White Paper.
China has put forward a number of new concepts and initiatives advocating common values and joint actions, responding to the shared wishes of the international community and identifying the most pressing issues of global governance.
Relying on its rich early diplomatic traditions and drawing strength from the best achievements of Chinese traditional culture, China is keeping pace with the times and guiding its trends, while remaining committed to practical actions, as emphasized in the White Paper.
China has put forward a number of initiatives to counter various global risks and challenges, continuously enriching the practice of global governance.
Providing system solutions, China has put forward four main global initiatives that develop in parallel, focusing attention on different spheres and forming an organic whole that contributes to prosperity through development, ensures stability through security, strengthens mutual trust through exchanges between civilizations, and adheres to justice through governance, as stated in the White Paper.
By putting forward initiatives on global governance and a number of new concepts and approaches, China has deepened the understanding of the laws of governance of the development of human society, broken through the outdated framework of the “core-periphery” of the old international order, overcome the vicious logic of “might makes right,” rejected the principle of “the winner takes all” and the zero-sum mentality of the game, and contributed to the progress of the political civilization of humanity, as emphasized in the White Paper.
