At the 10th China-South Asia Expo, deals worth over 27.7 billion yuan were concluded

Kunming, June 17 /Xinhua/ — During the 10th EXPO “China-South Asia”, which concluded on Tuesday in the city of Kunming, Yunnan Province /Southwest China/, deals totaling more than 27.7 billion yuan /about 4.07 billion USD/ were signed.

The signed contracts cover projects of domestic and foreign trade totaling 10.25 billion yuan and investment cooperation projects totaling 17.49 billion yuan, which is 20.9% and 28.5% more, respectively, than at the previous exhibition.

This EXPO, which lasted 6 days, attracted participants from 68 countries, regions, and international organizations. In total, 2301 domestic and foreign enterprises took part in the event.

The Head of the Provincial Department of Commerce, Yunnan Li Chaowei, noted that for the first time, enterprises from 45 countries, including Germany, Brazil, and Egypt, joined the procurement activities, which contributed to the expansion of the scale of international cooperation at the exhibition.

The event, held under the slogan “Solidarity and Coordination in the Interest of Common Development,” was aimed at strengthening regional trade and economic cooperation. -0-
