Washington, June 14 /Xin Hua/ — A U.S. Air Force F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet crashed in the American state of Washington on Saturday, causing a forest fire. The pilot managed to eject and sustained minor injuries, local media report.
The plane crashed near Lake Rimrok. Emergency measures were taken to extinguish the fire in the wooded area.
According to an NBC News report citing authorities, a fighter jet based at the Miramar Marine Corps Air Station in California crashed during a training flight. –0–
