Beijing, June 12 /Xinhua/ — At the invitation of CCP Chairman Xi Jinping, Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing will visit China on a state visit from June 15 to 19. This was reported on Friday by the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC, Wang Wenbin.

During the visit, Chairman Xi Jinping will hold talks with President Min Aung Hlaing. The Premier of the State Council Li Qian and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress /NPC/ will also meet with him separately.

Emphasizing that China and Myanmar are close neighbors, bound by traditions of friendship and represent a community of shared destiny, Lin Zhiang said that over the course of 76 years since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, guided by the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, jointly promoted by both sides, China and Myanmar have supported each other in all circumstances, cared for one another, and strengthened solidarity and cooperation, contributing significantly to the progress of China-Myanmar relations.

Lin Ziyang noted that thanks to the current visit of President Min Aung Hlaing, China hopes to jointly with Myanmar continue the established relations of “fraternal” friendship, deepen comprehensive strategic cooperation, achieve even greater practical results in building the China-Myanmar community with a shared future, and bring even more benefits to the peoples of the two countries.
