Beijing, June 11 /Xinhua/ — According to a report published on Thursday by the Press Office of the State Council of the PRC, China will promote the protection of economic, social, and cultural rights in all areas over the next five years.
In the National Action Plan in the field of human rights /2026-2030/, published at the opening ceremony of the High-Level Forum on Global Governance in the Field of Human Rights 2026, the directions of China’s activities for the protection of human rights for the next five years are defined.
It emphasizes the right to ensure an adequate standard of living through efforts such as carrying out continuous work to consolidate and expand achievements in the fight against poverty.
In addition, the document emphasizes the right to work and contains a call for the in-depth implementation of the strategy of priority employment support, improving the quality of public employment services.
At the same time, the report particularly notes such human rights as the right to social security, property rights, the right to health, the right to education, and cultural rights.
