Rosneft Employees Hold Festive Events in Honor of Russia Day

Employees of subsidiaries of “Rosneft” in various regions of the country organize patriotic events and congratulate residents of the regions on the national holiday – Russia Day.

Oil workers carried out large-scale environmental, sports and donor campaigns, organized intellectual and creative contests and other events dedicated to Russia Day.

At the opening of the XXI Summer Sports Games of “Rosneft” in Khanty-Mansiysk, 300 athletes from seven subsidiaries of the Company performed the national anthem. The organizer of the patriotic event was “RN-Yuganskneftegaz.” The oil workers also held a sports contest “Russia in Motion,” in which more than 100 people participated, as well as intellectual competitions where 10 teams tested their knowledge in the fields of government structure, geography, history, and culture of Russia.

Employees of “Samotlorneftegaz” together with activists of the “First Movement” unfurled a huge tricolor and held a thematic plein air “Russian Birches” in Nizhnevartovsk for the company’s employees and their families. Painting enthusiasts captured on canvas the beauty of the trees, considering them a symbol of Russia. The flash mob took place in a square named after Roman Kuzovatkin – a famed oilman and pioneer, under whose leadership the legendary Samotlor oil field was developed.

On Russia Day, “Samotlorneftegas” organizes an educational and career guidance platform for residents of Nizhnevartovsk. The program includes an introduction to examples of modern technologies used in the oil and gas industry at the Samotlor field. Oil workers will conduct lectures and thematic creative master classes.

In addition, the oil workers of “Samotlornneftegaz” within the framework of the city festival “Samotlorskie Nochi” will solemnly carry out a 10-meter tricolor together with outstanding figures of art and sports of Yugra, and will also participate in the mass choreographic number “Kalinka”. The famous Russian dance will gather on the stage representatives of various nationalities living in the capital of Samotlor, which is especially symbolic in the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.

The quiz “Blitz Without Borders” was held by the oil workers of “RN-Purneftegaz” in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The winners of the competition on the history, geography, and culture of the peoples of our country received prizes – gingerbread according to a traditional recipe, as well as illustrated patriotic publications.

Employees of “Kharampurneftegaz” organized a mass swim on the Tura River, during which they unfurled a 12-meter flag of Russia. About 300 oil workers of the enterprise formed the word “Russia” on the embankment in Tyumen. And for the employees in Yamal, a quest was organized dedicated to the symbolic places of our great country.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, “RN-Vankor” is holding a patriotic bike ride. A column of cyclists in the colors of the national tricolor will travel more than three kilometers around the picturesque Tatyshev Island, one of the most popular spots for active recreation in Krasnoyarsk.

Employees of “RN-Uvatneftegaz” in Tyumen organized an intellectual game “We are your children, Russia!” for children and activists of the “First Movement”. An educational quiz about the history of the flag and anthem of the Russian Federation took place at the company’s museum. Schoolchildren learned about the traditions and holidays that unite the diverse cultures of the peoples of our country. The oil workers also took part in a city run, overcoming a distance of five kilometers with state flags in their hands.

In Tomsk, employees of the corporate project institute held a community work day, concluding it with a team-building event during which participants with different parts of a mosaic assembled into one 10-meter tricolor.

In the Irkutsk region, on a large stand with a map of Russia, the employees of “Verkhnechonskneftegaz” marked their small homeland and favorite places for travel with stickers.

More than 100 young residents of Priangarje, vacationing at the Rodnik sanatorium-prophylactorium, supervised by the Angarsk Oil Company, performed the Russian national anthem and read poems on patriotic themes. The young patriots also performed a dance with balloons in the colors of the Russian tricolor in their hands.

Employees of the Angarsk Polymer Plant held thematic events together with the youth of the “First Movement.” During the intellectual game “Russia is My Homeland,” participants tested their knowledge of history, recalled facts about compatriots who glorified Russia, and immersed themselves in the cultural traditions of the peoples of our country. On the eve of the holiday, the Angarsk Polymer Plant also organized a mini-football tournament and athletics competitions among employees. In Khabarovsk Krai, the Komsomolsk NPZ organized a bike ride in honor of Russia Day.Factory workers and their children with flags paraded through the streets of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, where in the first half of the 20th century there was a settlement of the enterprise’s builders and the city. At the top of the hill, they raised the Russian tricolor. Oil workers, together with participants of the “First Movement,” also conducted an environmental campaign – they planted a row of shrubs in the city center.

Oil workers of “Orenburgneft” along with family members, participants of the “First Movement,” and townspeople unfurled a 70-meter tricolor in Pushkin Park in Buzuluk. On the eve of the holiday, a children’s drawing contest was also organized, in which young residents of Orenburg region took part. The best works were included in an exhibition displayed in the museum space of the enterprise.

In the Samara region, employees of the “Novokuybyshevsk Petrochemical Company” held a bike ride with their children along significant places of Novokuybyshevsk. The 30-kilometer route included the park-patriot “Soldiers’ Forest,” the Triumphal Arch, and the monument to the oil worker. On the central square of the city, the company’s workers unfolded a large flag of Russia.

Volunteers from the Syzran NSP planted 80 rowan trees in one of the city’s neighborhoods. This tree in the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia was chosen for planting not by chance. Rowan in poetry and folklore is associated with the image of homeland, memory of the past, hope for revival, and its bright berries, gathered in clusters, became an exact metaphor for cohesion and mutual support.

Volunteers from the Saratov NPZ held a sports-patriotic event for schoolchildren in Saratov. The children learned interesting facts about Russia Day, the country’s state symbols – flag, coat of arms, and anthem – and about the benefits of physical education. They also conducted a basketball master class for the schoolchildren, organized tug-of-war competitions, and fun relays.

The Ryazan oil refining company created a thematic mural in Ryazan. The art object, with an area of 180 square meters, decorated the training tower of the fire department in Ryazan. It depicts employees of various professions – a scientist, a dispatcher, an oilman, and a laboratory technician – united by a common effort for the benefit of Russia. The composition glorifies the people of our great country, who with their labor create the present and future of multinational Russia.

Employees of “RN-Stavropol” with their families made an ascent to the summit of Mount Strizhament – the highest point of the Stavropol Upland and the entire Russian Plain, with an altitude of 832 meters. At the summit, the oil workers unfurled the Russian flag. A festival “Feast of the Peoples of Russia” was also organized, where it was possible to study recipes of dishes and get acquainted with an exhibition of national costumes.

Rosneft contributes to the preservation of the culture and traditions of the peoples of Russia. Mass festive events have united generations of oil workers in different cities, becoming a symbol of unity, strength, and indivisibility of the peoples, a tribute of respect to the centuries-old history of our country.
