Beijing, June 11 /Xinhua/ — China is steadfastly expanding a high level of external openness and will continue to share development opportunities with other countries, contributing to greater certainty and stability in the global economy. This was stated on Thursday by Vice Premier of the State Council of the PRC Zhang Gaoqing.
Zhan Gocin, who is also a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, made a corresponding statement, speaking by video link at the invitation of the French government at the World Summit on Convergence in the interests of growth.
As noted by the Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council, the four major global initiatives put forward by CPC Chairman Xi Jinping set the direction and give impetus to the cause of promoting peace and development worldwide.
According to Zhang Gotsin, it is necessary to put development at the forefront, improve global governance, and facilitate inclusive growth of the world economy.
It is necessary to adhere to openness and cooperation, objectively consider the comparative advantages of different countries, create a free and convenient trading environment, and implement genuine multilateralism in practice, Zhang Guoqin indicated.
The World Summit on Convergence in the Interest of Growth was organized by France and took place under the chairmanship of the president of that country, Emmanuel Macron.
The event was attended by Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Friedrich Merz, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, senior representatives of the USA, Brazil, India, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the United Kingdom, as well as the heads of one of the European Union institutes and the International Monetary Fund. –0–
