The volunteer club “Let’s Do Good Deeds!” has sent more than 25 tons of humanitarian aid since 2022 to fighters in the zone of the special military operation (SMO). Volunteers assemble packages for soldiers once or twice a month.
The founder of the club in Severny Tushino was Elena Rudakova. She decided to organize the production of essential items for fighters on the front line in her district. The Severny Tushino administration provides premises for the project’s needs.
Today, about 150 volunteers regularly participate in the work of the club. Most of them are representatives of the older generation. Volunteers make tactical stretchers and anti-thermal imaging blankets, and also knit necessary items.
Activists are developing new directions of work. This year, they opened the production of parts for unmanned unit equipment. And they are printing on a 3D printer. The first batch of 50 items was handed over to the participants of the SVO in May along with other humanitarian aid.
By Russia Day, the club is collecting a new shipment. It will include 3D products for unmanned unit equipment, anti-thermal imaging blankets, self-activating fire extinguishers, basalt fireproof mats, as well as hygiene products, cookies, and gingerbread. The total weight of the parcels will be more than 300 kilograms.
Anyone willing can join the volunteers. Participants will help create essential items, sort and pack humanitarian aid, as well as organize the shipment of cargo to the front line. You can learn about the nearest meetings and needed items by phone: +7 495 948‑43‑70.
Public advisors of the Severnoye Tushino district also participate in the collection and sending of humanitarian cargoes. They help fighters on duty in the SVO zone, as well as those undergoing recovery in hospitals. Humanitarian convoys transport clothes, food, camouflage nets, as well as letters and gifts from concerned Muscovites. A separate direction of work is assistance to residents of new regions. Just last year, public advisors handed over more than 70 tons of humanitarian cargo.
