Last year, the reunited regions joined the emergency housing resettlement program for the first time, which is being implemented as part of the national project “Infrastructure for Life.” As of today, they have approved applications for financing the second stage of the program. Thus, by the end of 2027, more than 2,200 citizens living in housing with a total area of over 64,500 square meters are planned to be resettled there. This was reported by the Deputy Chairman of the Government Marat Khusnullin.
The implementation of the national project “Infrastructure for Life,” aimed at achieving the national goal of creating a comfortable and safe environment, is one of our priority vectors of work in Donbass and Novorossiya. Overall, the task nationwide is to renovate the housing stock by no less than 20%. And four regions, whose indicators are also taken into account, will contribute to achieving this goal. It is important that out of 162 emergency houses subject to resettlement, 138 are located in key settlements, the development of which is a priority for achieving the set national goals.”Thus, by the end of 2027, the housing conditions for more than 2,200 residents will be improved,” said the deputy prime minister.
The Deputy Prime Minister clarifies that the funding volume for the second stage measures will amount to more than 4.2 billion rubles, of which about 4.1 billion will come from the funds of financial support from the State Program Framework ‘Territory Development Fund.’
“FRT as the operator of the emergency housing resettlement program reviews and approves applications from subjects for its implementation, and then allocates funding. In addition, our specialists in Donbass and Novorossiya directly discuss the stages of the program formation with the regions, providing methodological support. According to the newly approved applications, the resettlement of more than 1,200 citizens is planned in total: in the Donetsk People’s Republic – 356 residents living on an area of about 11 thousand sq. m, in the Lugansk People’s Republic – 683 residents living in housing with an area of over 21 thousand sq. m.”In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, housing conditions will be improved for 68 and 105 citizens respectively. Currently, they live in emergency housing totaling almost 7 thousand square meters. Regarding the first stage, at present, the authorities provide citizens with new living quarters or determine the amount of compensation for those residing in emergency housing, depending on the relocation method chosen by the citizens and in accordance with the Housing Code of the Russian Federation,” added Vasily Kupyzin, General Director of the Territorial Development Fund.
