In the project “Moscow longevity» The financial spartakiad begins. It will take place in a game format based on real examples. Participants will compete with each other and demonstrate teamwork skills. The event will help elderly residents of the capital improve their financial literacy.

Strengthening financial independence and self-sufficiency, acquiring relevant knowledge and skills in personal finance allows people of the ‘silver’ age to confidently manage their incomes and expenses, plan for the future, and also make informed decisions without external assistance.”One of the key tasks of “Moscow Longevity” is to develop the ability to recognize and resist financial fraud schemes that are often aimed specifically at representatives of the older generation,” noted the deputy head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the city of Moscow.
The Spartakiad is held jointly with Alfa Bank and the Association for the Development of Financial Literacy. Over the course of four months, senior Moscow residents will master the basics of financial literacy with the help of board games, brain rings, and quests. Participants will learn to plan budgets and recognize fraudulent schemes.
The Spartakiad consists of two stages. From June to August inCenter for Moscow LongevityA tournament for the board game “Money in Order” will take place. City residents will have to participate in the qualifying round, the results of which will see the best players advance to the semifinals, and then meet in the final battle. About three thousand Moscow residents of older age will be able to join the tournament.
Tasks related to budget planning, savings, and selection of financial instruments have been prepared for the players. In the final round, participants of “Moscow Longevity” will face a team brain-ring “Trap for Scammers.” The winner will be the team that quickly gives the most correct answers to the tasks.
The second stage will take place in the autumn in Gorky Park and Sokolniki Park, the Tsaritsyno museum-reserve and Kolomenskoye, the Izmailovo museum-estate, as well as at VDNH. Project participants can expect thematic quests that combine educational tours with interactive tasks. Muscovites will need to visit special check-points — game stations where they will have to solve practical financial literacy problems.

In the “Moscow Longevity” project, other classes on financial and digital literacy, as well as weekly quizzes on various topics, are held on a permanent basis. Nearly 150 teams have been formed within the framework of the project, which participate in the quizzes. They regularly meet at the Moscow Longevity center, compete in erudition, and take part in thematic partner games, for example, in a cyberquiz on digital literacy, prepared by the “First Movement” cybersecurity school.
