Dmitry Chernyshenko: Regions and companies presented their best tour products at the VI International Forum “Travel!”
The Deputy Chairman of the Government Dmitry Chernyshenko opened the VI International Tourist Forum “Travel!” and evaluated its exhibition display. This key industrial event will be held from June 10 to 14 at VDNH in Moscow.
The forum opening ceremony began with a ceremonial parade of the participants of the exhibition exposition – regions of Russia, foreign countries, and participant companies. Alongside the Vice Prime Minister at the opening were Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vasiluk and Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation Vladimir Zatynaiko.
Dmitry Chernyshenko conveyed the greeting of President Vladimir Putin to the guests, participants, and organizers of the forum. In it, the head of state noted that the forum is yet another excellent opportunity to reveal and demonstrate the enormous potential of the regions in this sphere.
“It is important that travel across Russia is accessible, comfortable, and memorable. To achieve this, it is necessary to further improve the tourist infrastructure, competently organize routes, and make them interesting and convenient for people. In this work, coordination of efforts among the state, business circles, and regional authorities is especially necessary so that tourism becomes a profitable economic sector, brings additional income, helps create jobs, preserves museums, architectural monuments, national parks, and reserves,” noted Vladimir Putin in his address.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Economic Development, the Roscongress Foundation, the Moscow City Hall, and personally to the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, regional leaders, as well as participants of the forum opening parade.
“Participants of the VI International Forum ‘Travel!’ – regions and companies – presented their best tourist products. And we have a unique chance to choose the trip of our dreams. What a large country we have, and how many foreign guests have come to us!” – added Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Dmitry Vasrukov congratulated everyone on the opening of the forum, wished the participants good results, fruitful activities, and new victories.
“We have never had a forum of this scale with you. Of course, there will be more in the future. Huge thanks to everyone who responded to our invitations, our friends from foreign countries. Today you have accomplished an unprecedented feat! As a traveler in Russia, you definitely know that there is perspective here: both Russian tourism and Russian tourists are the people we need to work with. Ahead are several days of hard but very interesting work. So, let’s get to work!” – said the Deputy Minister.
“The forum was created as a platform that unites the entire tourism ecosystem. Thanks to this format, it is possible to see the entire path of the tourist product – from the idea and creation of infrastructure to the promotion of the destination and the selection of a route by a specific person. This is precisely the main value of the forum: it helps various participants in the tourism industry to find each other, launch new projects, and develop tourism in Russia together,” emphasized Vladimir Zatynayko, director of the International Tourism Forum “Travel!”.
Also participating in the official event were Deputy Chairperson of the State Duma Viktoria Abramchenko, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vasiluk, Chairperson of the Moscow City Tourism Committee Evgeny Kozlov, and Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation Vladimir Zatynayko.
In the thematic zone “Travel around Russia!” participants familiarized themselves with the exhibits of Primorsky Krai, Kirov, Smolensk and Sverdlovsk regions. Special attention was paid to the issues of development of domestic tourism, interregional cooperation, and promotion of new tourist destinations. The combined exposition of the national tourist route “Golden Ring” included several regions, including Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod and Tver regions.At the stand of subjects, spoke the governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako, the governor of Kirov Oblast Alexander Sokolov, the governor of Yaroslavl Oblast Mikhail Yevrayev, the governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Gleb Nikitin, the acting governor of Tver Oblast Vitaly Korolyov.
In the international bloc of the “Vacation!” zone, participants were presented with the tourist opportunities of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Abkhazia, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Republic of Cuba, the Republic of Nicaragua, and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Moreover, the vice-premier, together with other participants of the meeting, evaluated the exhibitions of the Russian Ministry of Health, JSC “Kavkaz.RF”, the state corporation “Rosatom”, Russian producers of tourist infrastructure, and also visited the stand “National Priorities”.
