Beijing, June 10 /Xinhua/ — China is deeply concerned about the recent events in Iran and calls on the relevant parties to maintain calm and restraint, and also to refrain from actions leading to an escalation of tensions. This was stated on Wednesday by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC, Lin Xian.
He added that the respective parties must take concrete steps to de-escalate the situation, resolve disputes by political and diplomatic means, and make efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire as soon as possible. -0-
