Beijing, June 9 /Xinhua/ — The 9th EXPO “China-Eurasia”, which will take place from June 25 to 29 in the city of Urumqi, the administrative center of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region /Northwest China/, will give an impetus to the development of trade and investment cooperation. This was stated by Chinese officials.

The Deputy Head of the Department for the Development of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, Deng Bo, said at a press conference on Tuesday that the exhibition area of the upcoming EXPO will be about 140 thousand square meters. Six thematic exhibition zones will be equipped, dedicated to investment cooperation, new quality production forces, specific and competitive industries, green development, integration of culture and tourism, and cooperation within the framework of the Silk Road.

According to Dan Bo, at the moment, exhibitors from 27 countries and regions, as well as from international organizations, have confirmed their participation in the exhibition. At EXPO, achievements in the field of technological innovations will be demonstrated with special attention to sectors such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, high-rise economy, and bioproduction.
