With the advent of the high tourist season in the picturesque park “Singing Sand Dunes and Lake Yueyaquan” in the city of Dunhuang, Gansu province, a series of measures were taken to improve the conditions for tourists riding camels. The park administration introduced a shift schedule, limiting the working time of each camel to six hours a day to preserve the health of the animals. In addition, a digital system appeared in the park to automate the processes of ticket purchasing, waiting, and distribution of camels among tourists, which significantly reduced waiting times in queues.
