June 5 is celebrated as a professional holiday – Ecologist Day.

Dear friends!

Please accept my sincere congratulations on Ecologist Day.

This is a celebration of professionals devoted to their work — scientists, employees of protected areas and nature conservation organizations, public figures, everyone who cares about the future, making a significant contribution to the preservation of the environment, unique flora and fauna of Russia.

The ecological well-being of the country and the fulfillment of tasks set by the President, including the rational use of resources, the formation of a closed-loop economy, and the improvement of waste management systems, directly depend on each of you. This decision affects the improvement of the quality of life of Russians, national security, and the sustainable development of regions.

Thanks to your dedicated work and competence, projects for the restoration of forests, biodiversity, and the purification of water bodies are being implemented. It is important that you are introducing innovative technologies, advanced methods of monitoring and modeling, conducting extensive educational work, and increasing the effectiveness of environmental activities.

On this festive day I want to express special gratitude to volunteers, to thank them for their active civic stance and willingness to come to help, for their participation in large-scale environmental events that unite thousands of people and benefit the health of the planet.

I wish you continued success, new achievements, and all the very best.

M. Mishustin
