The innovation center “Safe Transport” at the Road Traffic Organization Center (CTOD) received recognition with two professional awards — Data Award 2026 and “Digitalization Leaders.” In total, three industry awards were won by three projects.

“Following the instructions of Sergey Sobyanin within the framework of the transport development strategy until 2030, we continue to implement modern digital solutions. The successes of projects of the innovation center ‘Safe Transport’ based on the CODO—’Data Platform,’ ‘Unified BI Center,’ and the ‘Accident Monitoring’ system confirm their significance for the transport sector. These tools help to work faster with data, analyze the road situation, and make city traffic safer,” said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

Maksim Liksutov.

One of the key projects is the “Data Platform.” It combines information from more than 50 sources of Moscow’s transport complex and processes over 600 million records daily. On the basis of the platform, services for analyzing road situations operate. For example, “Pred modeling” allows you to evaluate in a few minutes how a new residential complex, road, or other object will affect traffic. More than 100 major objects have already been analyzed using this service.

One more project is the “Unified BI Center.” It collects data on the operation of Moscow’s transport system and displays it in a convenient analytical panel. The information is updated every 5–10 minutes. This helps specialists to promptly monitor the situation on the roads and accident rates. Today, more than two thousand people regularly use the system.

The third project is an automated information system “Accident Monitoring.” The system receives information from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate and analyzes traffic accidents based on more than 50 parameters: causes of incidents, hazardous sections, and recurring scenarios. Based on this data, specialists from the Center for Traffic Safety (COTD) identify potential accident hotspots and develop measures to eliminate them. Over the past two years, more than 200 such sections have been eliminated.

All three projects received professional awards. At the Data Award 2026, “Data Platform” was recognized as the best in the development of work with information in the public sector, and “Unified BI Center” — for the effective use of business analytics tools. At the Digital Leaders award, the “Emergency Monitoring” system became the laureate in the nomination “Developer of the Year” in the category “Road Traffic Safety Provision.”

These results confirm that Moscow is creating modern digital solutions for transport management and making the urban environment safer and more convenient for residents.

In Moscow, they continue to develop the transport system using big data, analytics, and artificial intelligence. These solutions help specialists more quickly see changes on the roads and assess the effectiveness of projects.
