Saint Petersburg, June 4 /Xin Hua/ — Russia and China are successfully developing economic cooperation in all areas and are ready for new joint projects. This was stated by officials and business representatives of the two countries on Thursday at the Russia-China business dialogue at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum /SPIEF/ 2026.
As noted by the special representative of the President of Russia for relations with international organizations for achieving sustainable development goals, Boris Titov, the two countries have reached an annual trade turnover exceeding 200 billion US dollars. According to the envoy of the PRC in the Russian Federation, Zhang Hanhua, this year again recorded growth in this indicator, and the future prospects are bright and very promising.
“Now we see more and more joint solutions in mechanical engineering, when the products are adapted or developed according to the needs of our market. I think that in the future we will see more projects of industrial cooperation and development of new products,” said the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Aleksey Gruzdev.
The chairman of the board of directors of the Chinese container shipping company New New Shipping, Fan Yuxin, noted the great prospects of the Northern Sea Route as a logistical route, allowing to reduce delivery times and costs of cargo transportation both for Chinese enterprises and for other companies from Asia. “This is a bridge that will help develop our countries,” she said.
Russian and Chinese businessmen are ready for joint work, creating new products and promoting them in the markets of the two countries, experts emphasized in the discussion.
