More than 1.7 million virtual gifts were sent to each other by the city schoolchildren in“Moscow Electronic School”(“MES“) in this school year. The function is available to students of grades 1-11 in the electronic diary “MES”. The most popular rewards during the operation of the “Gifts” service have been a rose, a bouquet, a teddy bear with a heart, a love button, a basketball, a calendar, a football, and a gamepad.
“For students in grades 5–11, digital gifts in the ‘MESH’ were added in November 2025, and for students in grades 1–4 — in January 2026. Currently, 24 unique gifts are available to schoolchildren, which can be received by completing assignments according to the educational program,” the press service said.
So, rose schoolchildren gave more than 333 thousand times, a single rose — over 129 thousand, bouquet — more than 86 thousand, teddy bear with a heart — more than 78 thousand, love button — more than 71 thousand, basketball — more than 67.5 thousand, calendar — more than 65 thousand, football — more than 62 thousand, gamepad — almost 61 thousand.
All gifts are available in limited quantities, but the assortment is regularly replenished with new sets. In addition, there are holiday collections dedicated, for example, to the New Year, Defender of the Fatherland Day, International Women’s Day, Cosmonautics Day, and other events.
The cost of virtual gifts varies from 20 to 500 stars, which students receive for completing tasks in “MESH.”
To earn stars and exchange them for virtual prizes, schoolchildren complete tests on school subjects from the MESH library in the “Tasks” tab of the “Gifts” section, as well as solve problems from the AI service “Digital Teacher.” Up to 50 digital stars can be earned for daily tasks. Since the launch of the service in November 2025, Moscow schoolchildren have solved more than 3.1 million tasks and earned almost 122.3 million stars.
In March 2026, game tournaments and marathons also appeared in the “MESh”. Students have access to individual and team tasks that can be completed with other schoolchildren. In a marathon, it is necessary to solve a series of problems within a limited time. Participants of the tournaments unite into leagues and compete based on the number of points scored. Stars are awarded to students who take the first three places. Leaders of the tournament ratings and marathon winners can earn up to thousands of stars.
