In the capital, applications have opened for the off-site marriage registration ceremony at the “Summer in Moscow” project site. This year, Muscovites will be able to get married both in places they have fallen in love with and choose new ones, it was reportedAnastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.
“Last year, the ‘Summer in Moscow’ project gave the city’s couples the opportunity to spend one of the most important days of their lives in a special atmosphere — on a beautiful urban site under the open sky. This format turned out to be very popular — more than 100 families registered their marriages here. We saw how warmly Muscovites embraced this idea, so in the new wedding season we are not only reopening the application acceptance, but also expanding the project — increasing the number of venues and the number of available ceremonies.”This summer, Muscovites will be able to get married for the first time under the open sky in the amphitheater near the Polytechnic Museum or in the rotunda, decorated with a chess theme, on Gogolevsky Boulevard. “I am confident that the project spaces will become the birthplace of hundreds more happy family stories,” noted Anastasia Rakova.
The first ceremonies will take place already in mid-June. In total, more than 200 couples will be able to register their marriages at the city’s summer venue this season.
Ceremonies can be held again on Manezhnaya and Tverskaya Squares, as well as on Tverskoy Boulevard. The new venues for the season are the rotunda on Gogolevsky Boulevard, the “Krug” stage on Chistoprudny Boulevard, and the amphitheater at the Polytechnic Museum.
Marriage registration at one of the most popular venues of last year’s project — Manezhnaya Square — will again take place in the heart of the city oasis against the backdrop of Red Square. On Tverskaya Square, couples will be able to say “yes” to each other among flower compositions near the Moscow Government building, and on Tverskoy Boulevard, registrations will occur in a cozy rotunda. The marriage ceremonies on Gogolevsky Boulevard will be held in a minimalist black-and-white gazebo with chess pieces on the roof.On Chistoprudny Boulevard, registry office employees will register marriages on the stage of “Krug”, and near the Polytechnic Museum — in the open-air amphitheater.
