Saint Petersburg, June 3 /Sina/ — Russia and China are partners with a large joint future in the media space. This opinion was expressed on Wednesday in an interview by the correspondent of Sina at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2026 by the Deputy General Director of JSC “Gazprom-Media Holding”, Boris Khanchalyan.
“I believe that Russia and China are good partners. The markets in both countries are developing and need each other’s media products. I think we have a great joint future,” said B. Khanchalyan.
At the “Gazprom-Media Holding” forum, the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia signed a memorandum of cooperation. The parties agreed on the joint implementation of media projects: screenings of Chinese films in Russia and Russian films in China, joint film production, and content exchange.
“The agreement signed today lays the foundation for the implementation of joint projects that will contribute to the development of Russian-Chinese business and cultural cooperation. We see great potential in content exchange, joint production of media products, and adaptation of digital platforms. I am confident that the combination of expertise and resources will allow us to create in-demand projects for audiences in Russia and China,” noted B. Khanqalyan.
As B. Khanchalyan emphasized, the wealth and diversity of Russian and Chinese cultures open up broad opportunities for mutual exchange. “There is quite a lot in Russia that can be shown to Chinese viewers. And there is much in China that can be useful for the Russian audience,” concluded the deputy director of Gazprom-Media Holding.
