The SPBGASU team defends its decision

Today, the issue of import substitution in the field of information technologies is extremely urgent. The best specialists in the country are working on this, and for the presentation of developments, the All-Russian IT competitions have been established, organized by the professional community “Educational Vendor League” and the Organizing Committee of the international engineering championship CASE-IN.

The first games concluded in Omsk on May 29. In the qualifying tournament for them, 1200 teams from 80 regions of Russia, as well as from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan – a total of about three thousand people – participated. 25 teams advanced to the final competitions. There were no restrictions on the age and skill level of the participants.

Five competitive tracks were held within the framework of the Olympiad. In the “Workplace” direction, the SPbGASU team performed under the name “CTRL-ALT-DELETE. CODE.AK”, which included second-year students of the Department of Information and Mathematical Modeling (TIMM).Vladimir Bulykin, Anastasia Ryazanova, Maksim SuvalkoиAnastasia Matvienko. They are all participants in the student project on in-depth study of new digital solutions “Code.ak”.

The “Workplace” track was dedicated to the development and customization of applied IT solutions: creating chatbots, automating communications and work scenarios, integrating office services, and expanding the standard capabilities of tools to solve real tasks.

IT engineers demonstrated their skills and abilities in real-time mode. In just six hours, it was necessary to find a working solution for real Russian companies. An expert commission evaluated the work according to four criteria: correctness and accuracy of the solution, well-founded architecture, quality of code and reproducibility, as well as innovation and applicability. In each of these parameters, our university team received high scores and as a result was awarded the main prize of the “Workplace” track — a cash certificate and the chance to enter the personnel reserve of leading technological companies in Russia.
