Istanbul, May 31 /Xinhua/ — Eight people died and 33 others were injured as a result of an accident involving a tourist bus on Sunday in western Turkey. Local media reported this.

According to the NTV channel, a bus carrying 38 passengers and three crew members was traveling from the city of Izmir to the resort city of Antalya. On the Denizli-Aydın highway in Denizli province, the bus crashed into a roadside barrier, after which it caught fire.

Among those killed were the driver and a nine-month-old child. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
