To convince, support, stop, make think — all this can be done in a few seconds of an audio clip. Students of GUU demonstrated this at the All-Russian festival of advertising and PR “FLOG”, where social advertising about bullying, loneliness in the age of social networks and lack of parental attention immediately received three awards in the “Radio Advertisement” category.
The first, second, and third places were taken by the projects of third-year students of the Marketing Institute, specializing in “Advertising and Public Relations.” The works were prepared under the guidance of Associate Professor Anna Timovich of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at PSU.
The first place was taken by the audio clip “Bullying at school,” prepared by Ksenia Danilova and Yulia Barinova from the group “Advertising and Digital Design 3-1.”
“Our video is aimed at schoolchildren who may be involved in bullying classmates. Unfortunately, bullying among children and adolescents is a common phenomenon. In the video, we played out a real bullying situation: when girls were friends just yesterday, and suddenly the girlfriends start laughing at a classmate, discussing and humiliating her. We offer a solution for teenagers who find themselves in a bullying situation — not to be afraid and not to be shy to seek help services,” said Ksenia Danilova.
Second place was awarded to the team of Ilya Denischenko, Valeriya Berletova, and Evva Mandzhieva from the group “Advertising and Public Relations in Business 3-3” with the audio clip “Take a Step into Real Life.” The work is dedicated to loneliness, which people are increasingly experiencing despite the constant presence in social networks.
“Our audio clip is dedicated to the problem of loneliness. In this era of social networks, where life often looks like an ideal film, the focus on real details is an anchor that saves from loneliness. We tried to convey through sound the contrast between a wave of notifications and the warmth of moments of lively communication,” noted Valeriya Berletova.
Third place was taken by Alina Trushkina, Darya Pundikova, and Polina Kamanina with the audio clip “Be Close Now.” The central theme of the work is the emotional distance between parents and children.
“The work focuses on parent-child relationships, in which the child experiences feelings of loneliness and unnecessaryness due to a lack of response from the closest people — the parents. We tried to convey the idea that emotional closeness is just as basic a need for a child as food and safety, and its absence harms their development,” shared Alina Trushkina.
The “FROG” festival, held annually at Voronezh State University, unites students from all over the country, creating socially significant projects in the fields of advertising, PR, and media communications.
Congratulations to the GUU students on their victory and we wish them new professional achievements.
