Bishkek, May 28 /Xinhua/ — From May 26 to 28, Shen Yueyue, Deputy Chairperson of the All-China Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairperson of the Committee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Neighborhood, Friendship and Cooperation, paid a visit to Kyrgyzstan.
During her visit, Shen Yueyu held meetings with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan Erlis Akunbekov, and the Special Representative of the President for Special Assignments Bakyt Torobaev. She attended the Forum of Heads of Regions and the Meeting of Sister Cities of the member states of the SCO, as well as the event “Health Express: a bright journey.”
Shen Yueyue conveyed a warm greeting to President S. Japarov from the Chairman of the NPC, Si Zhinpin. She stated that under the strategic leadership of the heads of the two states, China-Kyrgyz relations are developing a comprehensive strategic partnership into a new era, showing favorable development dynamics. According to her, China is ready, together with Kyrgyzstan, to implement important agreements reached by the heads of the two states and to promote the building of a China-Kyrgyz community of shared destiny, characterized by good neighborliness, friendship, and joint prosperity.The Chinese side fully supports the Kyrgyz side in holding the SCO summit this year, added the deputy chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission.
S. Japarov asked Shen Yue to convey sincere greetings to Chairman Xi Jinping, noting that Kyrgyzstan and China are good neighbors, good friends, and reliable partners. The Kyrgyz side supports the four global initiatives put forward by China and is ready to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side in all areas to promote sustainable and long-term development of bilateral relations, he emphasized. –0–
