On May 28, in the space “Tochka Rosta,” a solemn meeting of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Construction of SPbGASU took place, dedicated to the faculty’s anniversary. The event was attended by teachers, department heads, staff, students, and representatives of partner organizations.
The event was opened by the deputy dean for educational work of the Faculty of Construction, a senior lecturer of the Department of Construction OrganizationAnna Tsarenko.
With a welcoming word to the participants of the meeting, the dean of the faculty of construction, head of the department of technospheric safety, associate professor, candidate of technical sciences addressed them.Andrey Nikulin.He emphasized the importance of the faculty of construction in the university’s history and the significance of maintaining continuity between generations: “The faculty of construction is a link between generations of those who are just beginning their path in engineering education and those who have already become bearers of professional knowledge and traditions. It is this continuity that allows the faculty to develop and preserve its values over decades.”
During the meeting, the interim results of the 2025/2026 academic year were summarized. Special attention was paid to the achievements of students and teachers in educational, scientific, social, and sports activities. In particular, it was noted that five students of the Faculty of Construction became recipients of scholarships from the Government and the President of the Russian Federation, 54 freshmen received a freshman grant, and 62 students were awarded an increased state academic scholarship based on the results of the winter session.
Representatives of the dean’s office also spoke about the development of extracurricular activities: since September 2025, more than 90 events have been organized at the faculty, including educational, patriotic, career guidance, and cultural projects.
Students of the Faculty of Construction actively participate in federal initiatives and grant competitions, and also successfully represent the university in olympiads and competitions of various levels.
During the ceremonial part, students who are winners and prize-winners of all-Russian and international olympiads, activists of the student community, curators, and faculty adapters were awarded. Gratitude was also presented to the faculty teachers and staff for their significant contribution to educational, scientific, educational, and social activities.
With congratulations to the participants of the meeting, representatives of the department and faculty partners addressed them. In particular, representatives of the company “Technonikol” spoke about the joint project with the university, the development of educational cooperation, and the upcoming opening on June 18 of a new coworking space for students.
Special attention at the event was paid to the roles of teachers and mentors in the professional and personal development of students. The participants of the meeting emphasized that the Faculty of Construction continues to be one of the key centers of engineering education, maintaining early traditions and simultaneously developing modern areas of training.
The event concluded with the presentation of letters of appreciation and best wishes for further success to the teachers, students, and staff of the faculty.
