New York, May 27 /Xinhua/ — China is ready to strengthen mutual support with Azerbaijan in accordance with the consensus of the heads of the two states. This was announced by a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPC, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Wang Yi during negotiations with the head of the Azerbaijani MFA Jeyhun Bayramov, held on the sidelines of the UN Security Council high-level meeting.

China is ready to work together with Azerbaijan to promote cooperation within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative, share development opportunities, and strengthen multilateral coordination in order to better support the efforts of the two countries in modernization, he said.
China will fully support Azerbaijan’s activity as the current chairman of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, noted Van I.
In turn, J. Bayramov said that Azerbaijan highly values the four global initiatives put forward by the Chairman of the CPC, Xi Jinping, and firmly supports China on the issues related to Taiwan, Xianggang, and Xinjiang.
According to him, Azerbaijan is ready to take the all-encompassing strategic partnership with China to a new level.
