Beijing, May 26 /Xinhua/ — The state visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to China has historical significance, said Mao Ning, an official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC, on Tuesday at a regular press briefing for journalists. She recalled that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership relations between China and Serbia.

As the diplomat noted, the leaders agreed to strengthen the alignment of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan with the ‘Serbia 2030’ development strategy, deepen cooperation in areas such as politics, economics, science and technology, culture and tourism, and education.
According to Mao Nin, the heads of two states agreed that under conditions where changes accelerate, unprecedented in a whole century, China and Serbia must further strengthen strategic communication, implement genuine multilateralism in practice, counter hegemony and politics of power, and firmly uphold international honesty and justice.
