Tzi Tzinyun, Vice President of the South African logistics group BUFFALO, stated that the legal and international environment for doing business in China is constantly improving. Moreover, for African countries that have established diplomatic relations with China, there is zero tariff. BUFFALO plans to invest 7 million US dollars gradually in Hunan province to create a complete business ecosystem and facilitate trade between China and Africa.
Liu Dun, head of government and public relations at ArcelorMittal, noted that the advantages of the production chain and supply chain in China are irreplaceable, and China itself has already transformed from a “world factory” into an “innovation center.” Today, foreign companies pay more attention to a holistic industrial system, the possibilities of intelligent manufacturing, and local research collaboration.
Zhou Fen, president of hotels in China of the international hospitality group MGM Resorts International, said that previously foreign companies came to China with capital and ready-made models to “enter the market” and find business opportunities. Today, they have moved to the stage of “integration into development,” growing together with local partners and implementing innovations. He noted that Chinese consumers are demanding increasingly higher quality, pleasant, and international products. Moreover, the renewal of cities and the integration of culture and tourism also open up huge market opportunities.
