Beijing, May 25 /Xin Hua/ — The Chairman of the CNSC, Xi Jinping, stated on Monday that China and Serbia should strengthen the coordination of development strategies, consistently implement the medium-term action plan for the joint construction of the “Belt and Road,” and develop cooperation in fields such as transportation and energy infrastructure.
Si Jinping made a corresponding statement in the course of negotiations with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who arrived in China on a state visit.
According to the Chinese leader, against the backdrop of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, sides should expand cooperation in emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, green energy, and advanced manufacturing in order to contribute to the formation of new growth points.
Si Jinzpin also called on the parties to use the advantages of visa-free regime, agreements on free trade and direct air communication to expand comprehensive cooperation in areas such as culture, education, sports, tourism, and interregional exchanges.
