In April, prices in 72 out of 85 regions on average rose less than in March, or even decreased.
Prices for products decreased in 51 regions. Prices for greenhouse vegetables decreased: in spring, the costs of their traditional cultivation are declining. Butter and cheese continued to become cheaper. Prices for non-food products increased moderately in most regions.
At the same time, the services became significantly more expensive. This is due to high demand for some of them, particularly household, medical, and health resort services. On the other hand, foreign trips became cheaper, the prices of which partly depend on the exchange rate.
Annual inflation has slowed in the overwhelming majority of regions. The Bank of Russia will continue to pursue a monetary policy aimed at reducing inflation to 4%.
