Works continue to eliminate the consequences of the oil spill that occurred during the tanker crashes in the Kerch Strait.

Monitoring of the Black Sea water area, as well as the coast of the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Crimea, is being carried out. Since the beginning of the operation, more than 3.6 thousand km of the coastline has been cleaned, including repeated cleanings.

About 185.3 thousand tonnes of contaminated sand and soil were removed by specialized organizations. All the volume of sand and soil taken out for disposal has been neutralized or converted into secondary products.

The combined grouping of forces and means involved in eliminating the consequences of the emergency situation consists of 808 people and 191 units of equipment.
