Xinhua News Agency has signed cooperation documents with Russian media organizations

Beijing, May 22 /Xinhua/ — The Chinese news agency Xinhua on Wednesday signed documents on cooperation with the Russian news agency TASS, the international information agency “Russia Today,” the Russian National Media Group, and JSC “Gazprom-Media Holding.” These four documents were included in the list of final documents of the recent meeting of the heads of state of China and Russia.

In particular, Xinhua and TASS signed a memorandum on holding events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of establishing partnership relations. This document is aimed at continuing the tradition of friendship, developing professional exchange, strengthening the friendship and cooperation established for seven decades between the agencies, as well as facilitating the opening of a new page in China-Russia cooperation.

Memorandum on holding the Expert Forum of SCO countries-2026, signed by IA Xin Hua and MIA “Russia Today,” aimed at strengthening the expert dialogue of the SCO countries, exchanging professional experience of experts from different countries, and developing professional cooperation in the information sphere.

The agreement on cooperation and exchange of news between IA Sin Hua and the Russian National Media Group will contribute to the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the field of news exchange and dissemination, mutual visits, and personnel training.

Memorandum on cooperation in the field of personnel training in specialized and professional education between IA Sin Hua and JSC Gazprom-Media Holding focuses on creating conditions for improving qualifications and exchanging experience between the two parties through the implementation of joint educational programs, seminars, master classes, and internships.
