The delegation of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy visited Novosibirsk State University. The meeting at NSU was attended by the rector, a corresponding member of the RASDmitry Pyshny, vice-rector for academic affairsSvetlana Sablina, head of the education export departmentYevgeny Sagaidak, as well as the heads of departments overseeing the training of specialists in nuclear physics and conducting scientific research in this field.
The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy was represented by three organizations located in the city of Kurchatov, Abai Region of Kazakhstan — the National Nuclear Center, the Institute of Nuclear Physics, and JSC “Nuclear Technology Park”.
—This is the first such meeting, and its main goal was to establish cooperation between the Novosibirsk region and nuclear scientists from Kazakhstan. At the same time, we are considering a comprehensive partnership that includes interaction with the research institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Central Kazakhstan Project “SCIF”, and the university. Our colleague from Kazakhstan was particularly interested in our experience in creating a science town where the model of the triad of education, science, and technology has been successfully implemented for many years., — saidEvgeny Sagaidak.
In addition, during the meeting, they discussed the possibility of organizing internships for NSU students in the specified Kazakhstani organization, as well as cooperation in two promising areas: targeted training of specialists based on the Physical Faculty of NSU and the creation of joint dissertation councils.
Currently, the National Nuclear University is preparing a memorandum on cooperation with the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy in the field of education and scientific research activities. It is expected that the document will be signed in the near future.
