Volunteers of “Rosneft” planted more than 144,000 tree seedlings as part of the “Garden of Memory” campaign

Volunteers from Rosneft in various regions of the country participated in the international campaign “Garden of Memory” and planted more than 144 thousand tree seedlings, which will serve as a reminder to future generations of the immortal feat of their ancestors during the Great Patriotic War.

Preserving historical memory is an integral part of the corporate culture of the Company. Within the framework of the “Good Deeds Platform” program, Rosneft employees regularly participate in volunteer actions in memory of the feat of the Soviet people in the fight against fascism.

As part of the “Memory Garden” campaign, volunteers from “Udmurtneft” together with local residents planted more than 119 thousand young pine trees in the Yakshur-Bodinsky district of the Udmurt Republic.

Volunteers of “Orenburgneft” together with the students of the “First Movement” planted more than 4 thousand pine seedlings in the territory of the National Park “Buzuluksky Bor” in Orenburg region, which was affected by a natural fire. The company’s employees also conducted an environmental education lesson for the youth. Activists of “Samaraneftegaz” and Kuibyshev NPZ planted over 4 thousand pine seedlings in the territory of the Krasnoyarsk forestry of Samara region. Evergreen plants will become a reliable protection of the soil from erosion.

Employees of “RN-Uvatneftegaz” in the Tyumen region planted 3 thousand pine seedlings at the site of a large fire in the Tyumen forestry. Specialists from the Tomsk Design Institute “Rosnefti”, together with residents of the Tomsk region, planted more than 9 thousand coniferous seedlings in the village of Golovina.

Employees of the Company’s enterprises in Irkutsk – “Verkhnechonskneftegaz”, “Irkutsknefteprodukt” and “Angaraneft” – joined the initiative together with their families and planted more than 2,000 pine seedlings near the village of Ust-Baley in the Irkutsk district. All participants in the event underwent training on agricultural techniques to ensure the seedlings would surely take root.

In the Moscow region, employees of the company “Sibintek” together with local residents planted 1.6 thousand spruce seedlings on the territory of the Novoyerusalimsk forestry. In the Khabarovsk Territory, the initiative was supported by workers and veterans of the Komsomolsk NPZ. Together with young people from the “First Movement” and students of the “Rosneft Classes,” they planted an apple tree alley in the Labor Glory Park in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

Sales enterprises of the Company also joined the “Memory Garden” campaign.

Activists of “Voronezhnefteprodukt” planted 1,500 pine seedlings in the suburban forestry of the Voronezh region at the site of a natural fire. Thanks to the volunteers of “Bryansknefteprodukt,” war trees appeared on the territory of the memorial complex “Partizanskaya Polyana” in the Bryansk region. Specialists from “NK “Rosneft” – Stavropol” landscaped the territories of kindergartens and schools in the Stavropol Territory.

Rosneft enterprises in the region of operation annually organize patriotic events aimed at preserving historical memory, strengthening the connection between generations, and patriotic education.
