Yerevan, May 19 /Xin Hua/ — The State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia has upcoming solo performances with two concerts in China. The corresponding announcement was posted on the orchestra’s page on social networks.
The tour will take place as part of the Year of Armenian Culture in China. The orchestra has been invited to the music festival in Shantou /Eastern China/, which will be held on May 23. On May 24, a concert is planned at the Fuzhou Grand Theater in the city of Fuzhou /Fujian Province, Eastern China/.
The concert program will be dedicated to the works of composer Aram Khachaturian. In addition, the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia and the famous Chinese pianist, laureate of numerous international competitions, Professor Kun Xiandun will perform Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto together with the orchestra.
