5 billion rubles have been allocated to support ferry communication between the seaports of Kerch and Kavkaz. This order was signed by the Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin.

Subsidies will be allocated to the FSUE “Scientific Research and Design Institute of Test Machines, Instruments and Mass Measurement Equipment.” This institution ensures the operation of ferries that sail between the peninsula and the mainland part of Russia. They transport passengers, as well as deliver automotive and railway equipment.

“The decision made will give people the opportunity to choose the optimal route for themselves and will contribute to strengthening the transport connectivity of Russian regions,” noted Mikhail Mishustin.at a meeting with deputy prime ministers on May 19.

Funds have already been provided for in the federal budget within the framework of the federal project “Development of maritime and inland waterway infrastructure,” which is part of the state program “Development of the transport system.”
