Moscow, May 18 /TASS/ — Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov on Monday held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirodzhiddin Muhriddin, who arrived on a visit to Moscow. This is reported in a statement published on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Heads of foreign policy departments discussed a number of issues in Russian-Tajik relations.
The conversation confirmed the mutual intention for further joint practical steps to strengthen the strategic partnership and cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan in accordance with the agreements of the presidents of the two states.
From October 8 to 10, 2025, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to Tajikistan. Following the results of the negotiations in Dushanbe, V. Putin and the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon adopted a joint statement on deepening strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Tajikistan. –0–
