Nanning, May 19 /Xinhua/ — The number of victims in an incident related to a vehicle falling into a river in the Huanjiang-Maonan Autonomous County of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region /South China/ grew to eight people last Saturday, local authorities reported on Tuesday.

Currently, work is underway to identify another body, presumably belonging to a missing person, and one more person is still listed as missing.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening when a pickup truck carrying 15 people fell into the water while moving across a flooded bridge in the village of Luyan, Huangshan county. Five people were rescued.

According to local authorities, full-scale operations to search for the missing persons are still ongoing. -0-
