The State University of Management took part in the Closed Educational Forum of Chinese and Russian Universities. Representatives of universities from both countries discussed how to develop academic cooperation, launch joint educational projects, and support students’ interest in the Russian and Chinese languages.
GUU presented at the forum the Head of the Department for Implementation of International Projects of the Directorate for International Cooperation Konstantin Vinogradov. The university became one of 12 Russian universities invited to participate.
The forum took place on May 16, 2026, at the Business Center “Park Huamin” as part of the VI Educational Exhibition HSK: Study and Career in China. The event was held with the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Russian Federation.
Opening the forum, the chairman of the board of directors of the Chinese International Investment Corporation “Huamin” thanked Russian and Chinese universities for their interest in joint work and the development of language exchange between the countries.
The counselor-envoy of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Russia, Mr. Cao Shixai, noted that cooperation between Russia and China in the field of education is becoming especially important on the eve of the Cross Years of Cooperation in the field of education in 2026-2027. This work is already reflected in the GUU project: the university is developing a Russian-Chinese educational direction and sharing experience in implementing the corresponding program. More about this can be read in material on the GUU website.
According to him, interest in language learning is growing on both sides: Chinese is now taught in 360 Russian schools, and Russian is studied in 185 Chinese universities.
After the speeches, the participants moved on to the round table. Representatives of the universities exchanged contacts, talked about their educational programs, and discussed directions along which joint projects could be built in the future.
In addition, forum guests visited the exhibition of Chinese universities and got acquainted with educational opportunities for Russian students and applicants.
For GUU, participation in the forum became an important opportunity to expand professional dialogue with Chinese partners and outline new growth points in international cooperation.
