Beijing, May 19 /Xinhua/ — On Tuesday evening, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Beijing, beginning a state visit to China.
At the invitation of the Chairman of the CNC Xi Jinping, V. Putin will pay a visit to China from May 19 to 20. This is his 25th visit to China. As reported by the CNC Foreign Ministry, the leaders of the two countries will discuss bilateral relations, cooperation in various fields, as well as international and regional issues of mutual interest.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Chinese-Russian relations of partnership and strategic interaction, and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between the PRC and the Russian Federation.
An official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China noted that the parties will use this opportunity for further deepening and raising the level of Chinese-Russian relations, in order to bring even more stability and positive energy to the world. –0–
