Beijing, May 19 /Xin Hua/ — During the visit of the US President Donald Trump to China, the heads of the two states conducted a constructive exchange of views on artificial intelligence /AI/ and agreed to hold an intergovernmental dialogue on this topic. This was announced on Tuesday by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Geng Shuang.
The diplomat made this statement at another departmental press conference, answering the corresponding question. “As the two leading powers in the field of AI, China and the USA must work hand in hand to assist the development and management of AI, as well as to ensure that AI better serves the progress of human civilization and the general well-being of the international community,” he summarized.
