Washington, May 16 /Sin Hua/ — Abu Bilal al-Minnuki, the second most important commander of the Islamic State (IS) group in the world, was eliminated by the forces of the USA and Nigeria. This was announced by US President Donald Trump on Friday.
“Abu Bilal al-Minuki, the second most important commander of ISIS worldwide, thought he could hide in Africa, but he did not even suspect that we have sources who kept us informed of his actions,” wrote D. Trump on the social network Truth Social.
“He will no longer terrorize the residents of Africa or participate in planning operations aimed against Americans,” said the US president, adding that with the elimination of the commander, ISIS’s global activity has significantly weakened.
